One day “Circus of Face” will have its own brand as well.
How many of you beauty-obsessed girls have thought about making your own makeup line? Or have you ever wondered how beauty brands happen and how makeup products and colors get picked? We are pretty much always pondering these things like it’s our job (spoiler alert: it is!). When we had the luck of meeting Chelsa Crowley and Julie Fredrickson, the co-creators and founders of Stowaway Cosmetics, they explained how Stowaway came about and why. When they told us that this all happened in one year, we knew that these are definitely the girls to ask about breaking into beauty on your own terms. Chelsa began her career as a makeup artist before moving in-house with Clinique to work on product education. Later, she honed her editorial skills at Bobbi Brown, working on editorial and online content creation. Julie spent her entire entrepreneurial and e-commerce career in digital marketing. She had…

It’s my birthday month and I said hell-o to 24 with this bright, graphic March 2015 Ipsy glam bag!
Read on for my review about my Ipsy March 2015 glam bag, which included the NYX Butter Lipstick, Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Creme Oil, Dr. Brandt Pores No More Mattifying Lotion, MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow, and Evelyn Iona Concealer. Watch my unboxing video below!
Unfortunately, my February Ipsy glam bag was sent to the wrong address and I was doubtful that my March 2015 bag was going to come on time. Alas, it arrived at my Brooklyn apartment earlier than any other glam bag I’ve gotten! And even better news… I got an extra gift when my February bag finally arrived 😉 I have to admit, Ipsy has some darn good customer service.
And in memory of Dr. Brandt, I hope he rests in peace.

There are many different ways to clean makeup brushes. While I prefer to alternate back and fourth between a few tried and true favorites, today I have decided to focus on just one of these methods – cleaning your makeup brushes with white vinegar.
Over the past few days I found myself debating whether or not to do this post. Despite the age of this method (let’s face it – there’s a good chance white vinegar was the original makeup brush cleanser) and the number of people, myself included, who swear by it, there are a number of people who are completely against cleaning makeup brushes with vinegar. I have heard people say that this method will make your brush bristles fall out and that white vinegar will break down the glue and ruin the brush. I would like to point out that submerging your makeup brushes completely in any…

OMG, Smashbox is awesome!
Very important, keep your brushes clean in order to stop spreading bacteria.
I literally never stop. If i am not at work, i am baking, or painting, or building, or playing with my make up. But one thing i ALWAYS make time for is cleaning my make up brushes.
I religiously do this once a week. I sit down with my kitchen roll, brush cleaner and my brush roll and clean them all.
There’s more than one reason to do this. Firstly, if your brushes are clogged with old make up, they won’t apply fresh make up well. They will also carry bacteria, giving you spots, and in some cases severe skin disorders! Also, if you’re anything like me, your brushes are the most expensive thing in your kit, and looking after them is a must to make them last longer.
My favorite brush cleaner is super cheap (only £4.99), and super easy to get hold of. The B. Range from Superdrug…

I am a huge fan of making my own beauty products: hair masks, facial masks, scrubs… So today, when I was bored of studying I thought to myself: “Hey, why not?”.
So here are my recipes for these three wonderful pampering products!
This face mask is lovely to just make your skin feel fresh, smooth, and full of life. I like to use it at night while I take a bath or do other things, letting it sit for 30 minutes and then rinsing it off with cold or luke-warm water. Make sure to dry your face by patting it softly with a towel
